      Residents of a 100-year-old house in the Borsky district complained to the head of the Investigative Committee about their housing. Alexander Bastrykin demanded a report on the case, reports the Investigative Committee's Information Center.

      A resident of the Nizhny Novgorod region contacted Bastrykin, sharing the problems faced by tenants of an apartment building on Chapayev Street in the village of Neklyudovo. The building was constructed in 1917 and is in poor condition: floors and load-bearing structures are deteriorating, and engineering networks are worn out. The building was recognized as emergency in 2021, but residents have not yet been provided with new improved apartments, and numerous complaints to various authorities have yielded no results. Since August 2024, the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Nizhny Novgorod region has been investigating a criminal case regarding the violation of the rights of the residents of this house.

      Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin demanded a detailed report from the head of the regional investigative department, Airat Akhmetshin, explaining why there has been a delay in the case. He instructed to expedite the investigation, report on its results, and outline the work being done to resolve the issue of relocating residents from the emergency house.
