Gold, diamonds, and family secrets: the Kuznetsov treasure was showcased in Nizhny Novgorod.
On June 11, 2026, at 19:09 Culture and Leisure, the Rukavishnikov Estate opened an exhibition titled "Family Values" (6+), dedicated to the history and fate of the famous Nizhny Novgorod merchant dynasty of Kuznetsovs. The foundation of the exhibition consists of a unique treasure discovered during renovation and restoration work in the former mansion of the family on Malaya Pokrovskaya Street. Today, the building houses the military medical service of the FSB of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod region.
The found treasure includes 25 pieces of jewelry, most of which belonged to the women of the family. The items are made of gold and adorned with high-class precious stones. Among them are works from well-known jewelry firms of the Russian Empire.
A special place in the exhibition is occupied by wedding rings engraved with the names of the owners of the house - Filetёr Pavlovich Kuznetsov and his wife Valentina Vasilievna Markova. Visitors can also see gold watch chains, bracelets, earrings, rings with large diamonds and rubies, a brooch-moon with a diamond scattering, and a gold chatelaine with a keychain decorated with the initials of the house owner "FK".
The exhibition is complemented by paintings by Konstantin Kuznetsov - a famous artist and brother of Filetёr Kuznetsov. The exhibition includes works from different years, including those created during his Nizhny Novgorod period. The paintings are provided by the Konstantin Kuznetsov Foundation, established by entrepreneur and collector Andrey Shcherbinin in 2016.
