More than 20,000 Nizhny Novgorod residents visited the "Health Trains."

      Since the beginning of 2026, more than 20,000 residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region have undergone examinations and received consultations from specialists of the "Health Trains." Mobile teams from the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Clinical Hospital named after N. A. Semashko conducted over 31,000 consultations and performed more than 70,000 laboratory and instrumental studies. Most often, residents of the region required consultations from cardiologists, endocrinologists, neurologists, as well as otolaryngologists and ophthalmologists. According to the acting director of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Clinical Hospital named after N. A. Semashko, Sergey Gamayunov, further examinations have been assigned to 12,000 people, and over 670 patients have been referred for hospitalization in central district hospitals. Among the newly identified diseases, circulatory system diseases, diabetes, respiratory organ diseases, and malignant neoplasms prevail. The Ministry of Health of the Nizhny Novgorod region noted that the specialists of the "Health Trains" assist the outpatient sector in conducting preventive examinations and dispensarization. The modules are equipped with the necessary diagnostic equipment: nine types of ultrasound, osteodensitometry, fluorography, and ECG are performed. The work of the "Health Trains" is aimed at early diagnosis of diseases and timely referral of patients for further examination and specialized treatment. The project aligns with the goals and objectives of the national project "Long and Active Life," initiated by the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin. The project has been implemented at the initiative of the Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Gleb Nikitin, since 2018. The schedule for the mobile diagnostic complexes is published monthly on the website of the Ministry of Health of the Nizhny Novgorod region.
