An exhibition by Ashot Khachaturyan has opened at the NGHM.

      At the "NGHM|Art of the 20th Century," a personal exhibition of the Honored Artist of Russia Ashot Khachatryan titled "Magic Palette" (0+) has opened. The exhibition features over 60 works created over 45 years of creativity. This was reported by the Ministry of Culture of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. Ashot Khachatryan is an active participant in exhibitions in Russia and abroad. His portfolio includes 26 personal exhibitions at major venues in Russia, Armenia, and the Republic of Belarus. The artist's works are held in museum and private collections in Russia and abroad.

      Despite living and working in St. Petersburg since his youth, the artist's painting is dominated by Armenian artistic tradition, combined with St. Petersburg's philosophical moods. The main theme of his works is reflections on the history and culture of his homeland, touching on universal human values.

      As noted by the exhibition curator, Natalia Sokolova, Deputy General Director of the Nizhny Novgorod Art Museum for exhibition activities, the exhibition includes works from different years—from a self-portrait from 1979 to pieces created last spring. According to her, while the artistic style has changed, the serious philosophical issues related to questions of existence, world history, and the history of the Armenian people remain constant.

      The exhibition features portraits, landscapes, and still lifes.

      According to Ashot Khachatryan, an important part of creativity is the very process of working and the opportunity for free artistic expression.

      The "Magic Palette" exhibition will run at the "NGHM|Art of the 20th Century" (Minin and Pozharsky Square, 2/2) until August 16. It can be visited using the "Pushkin Card."

      The "Pushkin Card" program operates within the framework of the national project "Family," which started in Russia in 2025 at the initiative of President Vladimir Putin. Virtual cards can be issued to Russian citizens aged 14 to 22 in the "Gosuslugi.Culture" app. The card limit is 5,000 rubles, which is updated annually on January 1. Funds can be used for visiting museums, theaters, exhibitions, concerts, and cinemas across the country. The event schedule is posted on the Kultura.RF website. In 2026, the operator bank servicing the "Pushkin Card" changed in all regions of Russia.
