      On June 8, 2026, 15:11 Society Nizhny Novgorod residents were presented with new sketches of the flagship school for gifted children named after physicist Yevgeny Negin, which will be located by Lake Bezdonnoye in Bor. The architectural bureau "Adapt Design," which developed the project for the educational institution, shared the renders with NIA "Nizhny Novgorod."

      The site where the school will be located is divided into a public area with an amphitheater and presentation spaces, as well as a private internal part for teachers and students. The second part will feature recreation areas, sports grounds, and a walking alley.

      Three wings are dedicated to educational tasks, which will include classrooms, clubs, a library, laboratories, and a cafeteria. In turn, the fourth space will be designated for sports activities, and it will also house a swimming pool. The central atrium will be a dominant feature, capable of serving as an assembly hall with a capacity of 900 people. Dormitory buildings will be located near the main building, connected to the school by a warm overhead passage.

      Recall that at the end of December 2023, a contract was signed for the construction of the flagship educational institution—a four-story building with an area of about 25,600 square meters, designed for 800 students, and two dormitories for 600 places. The completion of construction was planned for 2025, but the deadlines have been repeatedly shifted. Now the commissioning of the facility is expected in 2027, and its cost has reached 7.09 billion rubles.
