The professional skills competition among participants of the SVO will take place in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      On June 5, 2026, at 11:18 AM, Society In the Nizhny Novgorod region, the acceptance of applications for participation in the regional stage of the All-Russian professional skills competition "Best in Profession" (18+) has been announced in the special nomination "Second Start." The competitions will take place on July 17, 2026, at the Nizhny Novgorod Human Resources Center "Work of Russia" (Nizhny Novgorod, Gagarin Ave., 14). The "Second Start" nomination was created for participants of the special military operation who have returned to professional activity or mastered a new specialty. The event aims to support heroes, their social and labor rehabilitation, promote working professions, and facilitate employment. "The 'Second Start' nomination is an opportunity for our heroes to confirm their professional competencies, share their stories of returning to the profession, and receive support in employment. I invite everyone who has returned to peaceful life and is ready to confirm their skills to join the competition," noted Igor Pantyukhin, the Minister of Demography and Human Capital Development of the Nizhny Novgorod region. Participants and veterans of the special military operation who are citizens of the Russian Federation over 21 years old, employed, or have the status of individual entrepreneurs or self-employed are invited to participate in the competition. The competitive program of the regional stage includes three modules. The first is a presentation of the professional path: a speech about personal experience in job searching and returning to professional activity. The second is theoretical, and the third is "Photograph of My Best Working Day": a video or electronic presentation showcasing the participant's professional activity through a demonstration of a typical working day. "The competitive tasks are designed to fully assess the professional skills of the participants. 'Second Start' is not just a competition, but an opportunity for our heroes to declare themselves again, confirm their qualifications, and receive support in employment. The winner will represent the region at the federal stage of the competition, which will take place in the fall in the Samara region.
