The site of the demolished cinema "Electron" is planned to be included in the KRT zone.

      On June 3, 2026, at 14:09, Society In the Prioksky district of Nizhny Novgorod, there are plans to define the boundaries of the area where comprehensive development is proposed. A draft amendment to the city's land use and development regulations has been prepared for this purpose. The document has been published on the city hall's website for public discussion.

      The area in question is located within the boundaries of Gagarin Avenue and Tereshkova and Luganskaya Streets in the Prioksky district. It is planned to be reflected on the Urban Zoning Map as an area where comprehensive redevelopment (CRD) is anticipated.

      It should be noted that judging by the map, the area in question was previously occupied by the "Electron" cinema. It was demolished in early 2024 due to unprofitability. A 21-story residential complex with an underground parking lot and a small two-hall cinema was planned for the freed-up site.

      However, in April of last year, it was reported that the site is effectively being used as an unofficial parking lot. Local residents leave their cars there.
