The first mandatory subject, mathematics, was taken by 9th-grade graduates the day before, on June 2. As reported by the Minister of Education and Science of the region, Mikhail Puchkov, the exam has become one of the most massive tests. A total of 266 exam centers were organized for its conduct, and 34,993 schoolchildren participated in the exam. According to the head of the Ministry of Education, the exam went smoothly overall, but there were some violations. Five participants were removed from the exam for using cheat sheets, and their results were annulled. Now these graduates will only be able to retake mathematics in the fall. Summer reserve days are not available to them. "A cheat sheet in the exam is not a lifebuoy, but rather a weight," noted Mikhail Puchkov. It is worth noting that on June 1, two Nizhny Novgorod students were removed from the Unified State Exam (EGE). They brought cheat sheets and a phone to the exam.
