      Defender of Nizhny Novgorod's HC "Torpedo" Anton Silaev addressed the fans after the news of his career continuation in North America. The video message was published on the club's social media.

      Let us remind you that the 20-year-old hockey player signed a three-year rookie contract with the New Jersey Devils. This club selected the native of Sarov in the first round of the 2024 NHL draft with the 10th overall pick.

      In his address, Silaev thanked the team and fans for their support.

      "Friends, a stage in my career has come when I need to make important career decisions. And I have made it. At the same time, I want to thank the hockey club 'Torpedo' for their understanding and the opportunity for my development. That is why 'Torpedo' will always remain in my heart. I also want to thank you, dear fans, for the energy you have given and continue to give me," noted the defender.

      In the past KHL regular season, he participated in 61 games, scoring one goal and providing two assists. In ten playoff games, the defender recorded two assists.

      The rights to the defender in the KHL will remain with "Torpedo" for the next two seasons.
