The Regional Tariff Service celebrated its 20th anniversary.

      A solemn meeting dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Regional Tariff Service of the Nizhny Novgorod Region was held at the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin. The best employees of the RST received letters of appreciation from the governor and the government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, as well as from the regional Legislative Assembly. Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Sergey Morozov noted that for 20 years, the service has made a significant contribution to the development of the region's economy. According to him, one of the key tasks is to ensure the effective development of communal and engineering infrastructure, interaction with resource-supplying organizations and consumers, as well as to prevent unjustified tariff increases. In 2025, as a result of the examination, about 36 billion rubles of unjustified expenses proposed for inclusion in tariffs were excluded, which prevented a 25% increase in tariffs for residents. Annually, the RST sets tariffs for more than 600 organizations in the fields of housing and communal services, energy, transport, and medicine. The head of the Regional Tariff Service of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Yulia Aleshina, reported that the volume of revenue subject to regulation is comparable to half of the region's annual budget. According to Yulia Aleshina, during its operation, more than 15,000 decisions have been made, all of which comply with federal restrictions. As part of the "One District - One Tariff" program, more than 50 tariff zones have been reduced, and tariffs have been lowered for more than 82,000 residents of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The Regional Tariff Service of the Nizhny Novgorod Region is an executive authority of the region in the field of state regulation of tariffs in electricity, heat supply, gas supply, water supply, and wastewater disposal, as well as in the area of solid municipal waste management. The service also performs the functions of an authorized body for regulating the activities of guaranteeing suppliers.
