Gleb Nikitin congratulated the Nizhny Novgorod residents on Children's Day.

      On June 1, 2026, at 07:00, Society Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Gleb Nikitin congratulated the residents of the region on Children's Day, emphasizing the special importance of family, support for the younger generation, and creating conditions for a happy childhood.

      In his address, the head of the region stressed that children are the main wealth and future of the Nizhny Novgorod region. It is they who will develop the region, embody new ideas, and preserve the traditions of their native land.

      Children are a great happiness and a continuation of ourselves. It is the younger generation that will continue to develop the region, bring new ideas to life, and preserve the rich traditions of the land where Gorky, Chkalov, and other outstanding figures were born, said Gleb Nikitin.

      The governor noted that the regional authorities pay special attention to supporting families and creating opportunities for the comprehensive development of children. According to him, demographic policy remains one of the strategic directions of the regional government's work and includes the development of infrastructure, education, healthcare, and strengthening traditional family values.

      Gleb Nikitin also reminded about the existing support measures for families with children. In particular, starting from July 2025, the region is implementing the "Foundation" program, which provides a parental basic income of up to one million rubles for each born child in addition to the federal maternity capital.

      Moreover, families are provided with a support measure called "Gift for the Newborn" in the form of an electronic certificate worth 20,000 rubles for the purchase of children's goods from Nizhny Novgorod manufacturers.

      Separately, the head of the region emphasized that children not only receive knowledge and life guidelines from adults but also help parents become better, teaching patience, kindness, and sincere joy.

      Perhaps, this is the greatest happiness that I sincerely wish everyone to experience! — noted the governor.

      In conclusion, Gleb Nikitin wished the young residents of the region health and happiness, and assured that the authorities will continue to do everything necessary to support families.
