Every second young Russian uses the Pushkin Card.
June 1, 2026 16:34 Society From January to May 2026, 7 million Pushkin cards were issued in Russia. Thus, every second young Russian is a participant in the program and uses the card to attend cultural events. This was reported by Olga Skorobogatova, the First Deputy President-Chairman of the Board of VTB, ahead of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2026. As of January 1, the functions of the operator of this program were transferred to VTB from Post Bank.
Most often, Pushkin cards are issued to young people in Chuvashia, Tatarstan, Orenburg, Tambov, and Omsk regions. According to the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, as of May 12, about 12,500 cultural institutions across Russia have joined the "Pushkin Card" program. Approximately 140 billion rubles are allocated for the implementation of the program from 2025 to 2030.
According to VTB, from January to May 2026, users of the Pushkin card purchased 12 million tickets, and the total expenses of program participants on cultural events exceeded 5.6 billion rubles, of which 2 billion was spent on cinema. The most active participants were young people aged 15 to 19, who issued more than 3 million cards and have already made ticket purchases with them.
