Almost a third of Nizhny Novgorod companies raised salaries in 2026.
June 1, 2026 09:06 Economy Almost a third of employers in the Nizhny Novgorod region raised the fixed part of salaries in the first half of 2026. According to analysts from the hh.ru platform, 32% of companies reported an increase in salaries, while 63% maintained payments at the previous level. Salaries grew most actively in the energy sector, where 50% of organizations reported an increase. Among the leaders are also food producers (48%) and telecommunications companies (46%). In medicine and pharmaceuticals, 44% of employers increased salaries, while in the electronics sector, the figure was 39%. In education, the financial sector, public services, and the oil and gas industry, 36% of companies reported growth. In heavy machine engineering, the figure was 33%. By the end of 2026, 34% of companies in the region plan to review salaries upwards, while 55% do not intend to change the salary levels. Among the sectors where employers most often report future increases are energy (43%) and food production (42%). Next are educational institutions (36%), as well as companies in the electronics, instrumentation, household appliances, computers, and office equipment sectors, and organizations providing services to the public (34% each). The top ten also includes the hotel and restaurant business and catering, heavy machine engineering, and the financial sector (33% each), medicine and pharmaceuticals (32%), and transport and logistics (31%).
