      Dzerzhinsk celebrated its 96th birthday. The celebrations were attended by the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Evgeny Lyulin, a deputy of the regional parliament and Hero of Labor of Russia, Yulia Garevskaya, the head of the city, Mikhail Klinkov, and the chairwoman of the city Duma, Victoria Nikolaeva. This was reported by the press service of the ZSNO.

      According to Evgeny Lyulin, the city of chemists is confidently developing and noticeably changing in anticipation of its centenary. He emphasized that the main wealth of Dzerzhinsk remains its residents – people of various professions who contribute to the development of the city every day.

      The speaker of the regional parliament also noted the festive atmosphere that prevailed on the streets of Dzerzhinsk. Despite the changeable weather, the city squares, parks, and public spaces were filled with residents and guests. At the Wedding Square, he congratulated newlyweds Mikhail and Elizaveta Yeplanov, who decided to link the day of their family creation with the birthday of their hometown.

      On this day, the most active industrialists, athletes, public figures, volunteers, and cultural workers were awarded the honorary badge "For Serving the People." One of the brightest events of the holiday was the festival of national cultures at "Utinoe Lake." Guests were able to learn about the traditions of different peoples, taste national dishes, and see performances by creative groups. According to Evgeny Lyulin, it is the friendship, mutual respect, and unity of the residents that make Dzerzhinsk a big family capable of confidently looking to the future.
