The parade for City Day has been canceled in Dzerzhinsk due to security measures.

      On May 29, 2026, at 18:51 Society In Dzerzhinsk, the parade of law enforcement agencies, the march of labor collectives, and events on the Oka embankment will not take place on May 30. The first deputy head of the city, Gleb Andreev, announced changes to the City Day program. A video message was published on the administration's page on "VKontakte." According to him, the decision was made for security reasons.

      "This decision is not easy, but it is balanced, thought out from all sides, based on the information we have. We were guided by the necessity of ensuring the safety of you, our dear citizens of Dzerzhinsk," Andreev noted.

      He reminded that the city traditionally starts the celebration with a parade and a march on Lenin Avenue near Dzerzhinsky Square. This year, they were also prepared and held two full rehearsals. Despite the adjustment to the program, the celebration itself will take place. Concerts, master classes, and fireworks will be preserved. All other events at city venues will begin at 12:00.
