The Investigative Committee has initiated a criminal case due to the flooded house in Dzerzhinsk.

      May 28, 2026 15:00 Incidents Residents of the village of Ilyino complained about flooded apartments in a building on Komsomolskaya Street. This was reported by the press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod region. The roof of the building is damaged, and due to leaks, water is flooding the apartments, which, as noted, deprives people of their right to safe and comfortable living conditions. It is specified that residents have repeatedly contacted the management company requesting major repairs. By order of the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod region, Airat Akhmetshin, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (negligence). Investigative actions are currently underway to establish all the circumstances of the incident. The progress of the investigation is under the control of the regional Investigative Committee. The Prosecutor's Office of the Nizhny Novgorod region has also organized an inspection. The supervisory authority will assess the implementation of housing legislation, including the maintenance and servicing of common property.
