The Nizhny Novgorod prosecutor's office is requesting to close the scandalous boarding house in Arzamas.

      On May 27, 2026, at 12:02, Incidents The Nizhny Novgorod Prosecutor's Office organized an inspection of the private nursing home "Cozy House" in Arzamas due to information about the possible provision of unsafe services to elderly residents.

      Recall that relatives of the residents complained on social media that the elderly were poorly cared for and their condition was deteriorating. One woman died after hospitalization.

      In addition, there were reports of a conflict between the staff of the institution and the relatives of one of the residents. Allegedly, a quarrel occurred when they tried to take the elderly woman home, resulting in the applicants sustaining bodily injuries.

      In connection with the identified violations of federal legislation, including in the field of social services, the Arzamas City Prosecutor's Office filed a lawsuit demanding to suspend the institution's activities.

      Inspection activities are ongoing in collaboration with specialists from regulatory authorities.
