The center of Nizhny Novgorod will be partially closed from May 26.

      On May 25, 2026, at 19:18 Society In Nizhny Novgorod, temporary traffic restrictions will be introduced on some streets in the city center. They will take effect from 00:01 on May 26, the city administration's press service reported.

      Thus, until 21:00 on June 1, Akademika I.N. Blokhina Street will be closed in several sections: between buildings No. 32 and No. 32D on Varvarskaya Street, between houses No. 12 and No. 14 on Akademika I.N. Blokhina Street, from house No. 14 on this street to house No. 47 on Kovalikhinskaya Street, as well as at the exit from the yard of house No. 47 on Kovalikhinskaya Street towards Akademika I.N. Blokhina Street.

      During the same period, access to the internal territory of the "Nizhpoligraf" Crafts Park on Varvarskaya Street at house No. 32 from Kovalikhinskaya Street will be closed. In addition, stopping and parking of vehicles will be prohibited on the section of Kovalikhinskaya Street between buildings No. 16 and No. 18.

      Traffic will also be restricted until 21:00 on June 2 on the segment from house No. 15 on Bolshie Ovragi Street to the parking lot near house No. 2A on Shevchenko Street. On Malaya Yamskaya Street between houses No. 16 and No. 22, stopping and parking of cars will be prohibited.

      Motorists are advised to familiarize themselves with the traffic scheme in advance, be attentive, and comply with road signs.
