In Zavolzhye, three schoolchildren have been punished for Nazi symbolism.
Employees of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod Region discovered publications with prohibited symbols in one of the social networks during internet monitoring. An inspection conducted by representatives of the juvenile affairs department of the Zavolzhye city police department (part of the MO MVD "Gorodetsky") showed that materials with Nazi attributes and symbols of extremist organizations were posted by three students of a local school, born in 2008, 2009, and 2010. This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
Despite their young age, the teenagers have reached the age of responsibility established by part 1 of article 2.3 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation. Protocols have been drawn up against them under part 1 of article 20.3 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation (propaganda or public demonstration of Nazi symbols). Their parents have also been held administratively liable: materials have been compiled against them under part 1 of article 5.35 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation for failing to fulfill their duties regarding the upbringing and maintenance of minors.
The cases have been referred to the commission for juvenile affairs and the protection of their rights, which found the parents and teenagers guilty and imposed administrative measures. The minors themselves have been placed on preventive registration; individual work has been organized with them aimed at forming legal awareness, preventing unlawful behavior, and preventing repeated violations.
