A "Spaniard" deceived a resident of Semyonov out of 115,000 rubles under the guise of investments.

      May 25, 2026 15:23 Incidents A resident of Semyonov became a victim of an internet scammer she met on a dating site. This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      As it is known, the 34-year-old victim met a young man on a dating site. The man introduced himself as a Spaniard.

      Having gained the girl's trust, the scammer offered her to engage in short-term investments. Believing the promises of the "foreigner," the victim transferred 115,312 rubles. After that, the fake investor stopped contacting her.

      A criminal case has been initiated regarding the fraud.

      It was previously reported that an elderly woman from Nizhny Novgorod transferred her personal savings to scammers three times and lost almost 7 million rubles.
