The student council of NIU took 3rd place among university self-government bodies.

      On May 22, 2026, at 11:44, Society At the National Research University of the Presidential Academy, the XXVI Reporting and Election Conference took place, during which the results of the work of the student communities of the institute in the 2025-2026 academic year were summarized. The director of the Nizhny Novgorod Institute of Management, Ekaterina Lebedeva, noted that the Student Council of the National Research University is one of the best in the Nizhny Novgorod region and this year took third place.

      "This is the result of our students' achievements: in sports, creativity, social, volunteer, and project activities. Last year, students of the National Research University received grants from Rosmolodyozh totaling almost 2 million rubles — this is one-fifth of the grants received by the entire large branch network of the Presidential Academy," clarified Ekaterina Lebedeva.

      The chairperson of the Student Council, Valeria Tikhomirova, reported that 6,000 students participated in events held throughout the year, and grants totaling 5.5 million rubles were also won.

      The work of the Student Volunteer Center was noted, whose members collectively worked 645 hours, and the Scientific Student Center, which resumed its activities after a long period of time. The Community of Curators, which helps first-year students adapt, received well-deserved recognition.

      The College Council of the National Research University of the Presidential Academy was the first in the entire branch network of the Presidential Academy to implement joint projects with the "Movement of the First." The student guiding squad "Concordia" was recognized as the largest guiding squad in the Nizhny Novgorod region. The student pedagogical squad "Juventa" is called the warmest and kindest student association, as it involves youth in working as counselors in camps across Russia during the summer period.

      The media center "MIK" is a youth media resource of the National Research University that covers bright events in student life and conducts educational activities in the media school. The Center for Student Creativity helps students develop aesthetically and participate in various performances. Its leader, Ulyana Morozova, spoke about the activities of her self-governing body.

      "Our task is to develop the creative and cultural potential of students. Students of the National Research University participated in the festival of student creativity of the Academy's branches 'A.R.T.' and won prizes in dance and vocal nominations," she said.

      The event concluded with the awarding of the most active students of the Nizhny Novgorod Institute of Management. 69 students received gratitude from the National Research University.
