On May 20, 2026, 16:05 Incidents In Finland, the investigation into the murder of 49-year-old artist, Russian Alexandra Hintsala, continues. The tragedy occurred in the city of Kotka, where the woman lived with her husband, writer Mikko H. The couple was raising their 13-year-old son, and until this moment, their relationship seemed prosperous, which makes the incident shocking and puzzling to those around them. The incident took place on the night of May 9 to 10. Alexandra was stabbed by her own husband. According to preliminary data, the husband called the police himself after committing the crime and confessed to what he had done. The son was sleeping at the time and was awakened by the arriving police officers. The Kotka police have reached out to friends and acquaintances of Alexandra, asking for any information that could help in the investigation of the last days of the woman's life. Currently, the police are not disclosing details of the case, but some family friends have shared their observations. One of Alexandra's acquaintances, who also lives in Finland, told "KP-Petersburg" that outwardly there were no signs of an impending tragedy in the couple's relationship. Local art historians, artists, and writers were shocked by what happened. One of the couple's friends wrote on social media: "How sad: domestic life and alcohol," however, the police have not confirmed this version. It is known that on the night of the murder, the boy, who was in the room, did not hear his parents arguing. He is currently in a special family center, where psychologists are working with him. Alexandra's friends try not to disturb the boy so as not to harm his mental state. Most often, he is visited by a close friend of the deceased. The couple's acquaintances are trying to piece together the picture of their relationship, but so far they cannot recall anything suspicious. All that comes to mind are positive moments. Alexandra and Mikko appeared happy and harmonious, sharing responsibilities for caring for their son. Alexandra's husband, according to friends, worked in the technical field and sometimes wrote stories and novels that he published. Family friends emphasize that there were no anti-Russian sentiments in the couple's relationship. Alexandra and Mikko loved Russian culture, and their son was bilingual, fluently speaking both languages. Mikko H. faces up to 12 years in prison. He had no prior convictions.
