A combined squad of young paratroopers opened a large festive concert "The Path of Friendship" in Minsk as part of the Days of Nizhny Novgorod.

Students of the Maxim Nastin Center for Military-Patriotic Education performed the songs "VDV," "Cossacks in Berlin," and "May Waltz."

The grand festive concert "Path of Friendship" in Minsk, as part of the Days of Nizhny Novgorod, was opened by a combined team of Nizhny Novgorod students from the Maxim Nastin Center for Military-Patriotic Education and Minsk residents who participated in last year's international camp shift "I Want to Become a Paratrooper." As reported by the city department of social policy, to the song "I Raise the Flag of My State," the boys in the uniforms of young paratroopers appeared before the audience with the flags of Russia and the Republic of Belarus, as well as with the flags of the twin cities—Minsk and Nizhny Novgorod. "The audience saw not just a formation, but a symbol of unity. Pride for the country and respect for the young patriots was evident on their faces. These guys, by their example, prove that the youth is ready to continue the traditions of brotherhood. They are reliable, confident in themselves, and have a clear civic position. The creation by the city head Yuri Vladimirovich Shalabaev, at the request of the students of the Center for Military-Patriotic Education, gave an incredible impetus to the development of patriotism in Nizhny Novgorod. And for us, the leaders, educators, mentors, and parents, the participation of our students in such a large-scale festival is the best reward," said Galina Gurenko, director of the city department of social policy. Continuing their performance on stage, the students of the Maxim Nastin Center for Military-Patriotic Education performed the songs "VDV," "Cossacks in Berlin," and "May Waltz." The choreographic part of the waltz was also presented by young Nizhny Novgorod residents. The concert venue was exited in formation to the song "Our Tenth Paratrooper Battalion" and loud applause from the audience.

After that, the students went to the Minsk Historical-Patriotic Center "Step into History," located at the children's and youth additional education center "Victoria." The director of the institution, Elena Orlova, conducted a tour of the museum halls for the combined team, telling them about the history of Belarus and Minsk in different eras. Special attention was paid to the heroic struggle of the Soviet people for freedom and independence during the Great Patriotic War.

The day ended with a concert for the students and staff of special school No. 13 in the city of Minsk, as well as residents of the Partizansky district. Let us remind you that the head of Nizhny Novgorod, Yuri Shalabaev, and the chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee, Vladimir Kukharev, signed a new roadmap for cooperation for 2026-2028. The signing ceremony took place as part of the Days of Nizhny Novgorod in Minsk. The document outlines the main areas of joint work and provides for the implementation of more than 40 joint projects and events.
