The second stage of the construction of the Eastern Bypass of Nizhny Novgorod has passed the examination.

This is reported in the Unified State Register of Real Estate. The examination was conducted by the State Autonomous Institution of Nizhny Novgorod "Department of State Expertise of Project Documentation and Results of Engineering Surveys." The developer is the Main Department of Highways of the region. The project documentation was prepared by the Joint Stock Company "Road Construction Company 'Avtoban'" and the Limited Liability Company "Institute of Construction and Design." It is worth noting that the state expertise previously approved the preparatory first stage of construction. The bypass project is divided into three parts. The first includes the reconstruction of the road in the village of Nikulskoye in the Kstovo district, the renovation of the embankment section of the Grebnoi Canal from house No. 459 in the settlement of Podnovye to Lysogorskaya Street, as well as the construction of a new section with a two-level interchange over the Nizhny Novgorod - Kstovo highway. Two concessions are planned for the construction. The total cost of implementation exceeds 200 billion rubles. Overall, the Eastern Bypass will become one of the largest infrastructure projects in the region. The highway will stretch from the M-7 highway in the Kstovo district, pass through the Artyomovskie meadows and near the treatment facilities, partially on a sandy embankment, and will lead to Lysogorskaya Street at the embankment of the Grebnoi Canal. The road is planned to be made four-lane. The need for the bypass construction is related to the increase in transport load in the direction "South - North." The existing highways, including M-7, R-158, and the Bor Bridges, which remain the only bridge crossing over the Volga in the region, operate with high load.
