      On May 23, the XIX International Festival "Demidov Lilac" will take place in the village of Bykovka in the Vorotynsky district, inviting everyone to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of historical heritage, culture, and Russian traditions. The annual festival, organized by the administration of the Vorotynsky municipal district with the participation of the Lyskov diocese, is dedicated to the legacy of the famous Demidov dynasty - outstanding industrialists, public figures, philanthropists, and patrons. The program includes a divine liturgy, a concert program featuring creative groups, exhibitions, excursions, training sessions, master classes, and much more. This unique festival will also be interesting for guests of the region, including in the format of road trips, which are developing in the Nizhny Novgorod region thanks to the national project "Tourism and Hospitality." A festive concert will be held on the main festival stage, featuring creative groups from institutions in Vorotynsky and other municipal districts of the Nizhny Novgorod region, as well as songwriter and performer Natalia Ivanova (Nizhny Novgorod). Furthermore, following the established tradition, guests will participate in planting lilac saplings, which this year will be brought from the cities of Nizhnyaya Salda and Revda (Sverdlovsk region). The Bykovsky local history museum, located in the preserved estate house of the Demidovs, will greet festival guests with a new exhibition "Lilac Room" and exhibitions "At the Beginning of Glorious Deeds. To the 370th Anniversary of Nikita Demidov," "The History of Bykovka in Faces," "On the Holy Road. Pilgrimage Souvenir in Pre-Revolutionary Russia." For the first time, historical reenactments "Empire Era. The Lord's Picnic. 1816" and "Modern Era. Brave Young Men. 1890" (folk games of strength and agility) will take place as part of the festival. They will help immerse visitors in the historical atmosphere and familiarize them with the culture and everyday life of the Russian village in the 19th century. Traditionally, there will be a souvenir exhibition-sale and products from masters of decorative and applied arts, photo zones, master classes, and shops with "Demidov" treats for festival guests.
