This is the second time it is being held and it will combine a sports and cultural entertainment program. This festival will also be interesting for guests of our region, including participants of road trips, which are developing in the Nizhny Novgorod region thanks to the national project "Tourism and Hospitality." "Event tourism is one of the actively developing areas in our region. The 'Heavenly Fairy Tale' in Semenov is a great example of how a sports event turns into a real holiday for everyone. I am confident that the second festival will solidify the district's status as one of the attractions for ballooning enthusiasts from all over the country," noted the Minister of Tourism and Crafts of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Sergey Yakovlev. The key event of the festival will be the championship of the Volga Federal District in ballooning sports, which will gather 15 pilots from the regions of the Volga Federal District. Sports flights will take place in the morning hours, at dawn, while tourist flights for guests are planned in the evenings, before sunset. "We are sincerely happy to host the festival on Semenov land for the second time. The 'Heavenly Fairy Tale' allows us to appreciate the beauty of our district from a bird's eye view. I invite residents and guests to visit the night glow at the stadium - it is a wonderful spectacle that will be interesting for both adults and children. Admission is free, come with the whole family," said the head of the local government of the Semenovsky municipal district, Dmitry Poluektov. The central and most spectacular episode of the festival is promised to be the night glow of the balloons. Weather permitting, it will take place on May 31 at the central stadium of the city of Semenov. Admission for spectators is free. "It is a great honor for us to hold the championship of the Volga Federal District right here in Nizhny Novgorod, in Semenov. As a native of the 'capital of Golden Khokhloma,' I am especially proud that the largest number of flights is taking place in this district today - for me, it is a personal story, a return to the roots. The Semenovsky district has a unique landscape and favorable aerological conditions that allow ballooning to develop at the highest level," said the chairman of the regional Federation of Ballooning Sports, vice-president of the Federation of Ballooning Sports of Russia, Georgy Zimenko. The event organizers emphasize that the launch sites for the balloons will be determined daily based on actual weather conditions.
