The Nizhny Novgorod TV tower will light up in honor of the "Night of Museums" on May 16.

      On May 16, 2026, at 11:31 PM, the Nizhny Novgorod TV tower will become part of a grand cultural event - the annual nationwide action "Night of Museums" (12+). That evening, the RTRS branch "Nizhny Novgorod Regional Radio and Television Transmitting Center" in collaboration with the regional Ministry of Culture will organize a unique architectural and artistic lighting that will transform the tallest structure in the city into a true light show. From 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM, the TV tower will shine in the signature colors of the "Night of Museums" - dark purple and bright orange. The light compositions will be dynamic and vibrant, and the running text on the media facade of the tower will display the logo of the event and its date. The theme of this year's "Night of Museums" is "Native." As part of the event, more than 60 venues will operate in the city, opening at 4:00 PM and continuing until 10:00 PM. Visitors will be able to attend most events for free, although some will require prior registration. We remind you that public transport in Nizhny Novgorod will extend its operating hours today to help all participants of the "Night of Museums" get home.
