A criminal case has been initiated in the Nizhny Novgorod region regarding the death of a worker.

      An investigation has been initiated by the investigator of the investigative department of the closed administrative-territorial formation of Sarov, under the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod region, regarding the death of a worker. A criminal case has been opened on the grounds of a crime under Part 2 of Article 143 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of labor protection requirements, resulting in the accidental death of a person).

      According to the investigation, on May 13 of this year, during repair work on the roof of a multi-apartment residential building located on Kirova Street in the urban-type settlement of Voznesenskoye, Nizhny Novgorod region, a worker from the management company fell from a height. The man died from the injuries sustained.

      Currently, the investigator of the Investigative Committee of Russia is conducting investigative actions aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the incident. During the investigation of the criminal case, the actions of individuals responsible for ensuring safety during the work will be given an appropriate legal assessment.
