VIDEO: A teenage thrill-seeker rode the "Lastochka" train to Nizhny Novgorod

      On May 15, 2026, at 16:50, Incidents: Two underage "train surfers" were caught by police in the Nizhny Novgorod region. This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Volga Federal District. The boys, aged 13 and 14, were walking on the railway tracks near the station in Dzerzhinsk. The children decided to ride to the regional capital and chose the "Lastochka" train on the Ivanovo - Nizhny Novgorod route. The teenagers grabbed onto the external elements of the last carriage; however, when the train started moving, one child lost his grip and fell, while the other managed to reach the destination. Inspectors held a preventive conversation with the children and their parents, and protocols were drawn up against the latter under the article on failure to fulfill parental responsibilities for raising minors (Article 5.35 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation). The materials have also been sent for consideration to the commission for juvenile affairs.

      The department clarified that since the beginning of 2026, transport police have already caught 16 "train surfers."
