Two social institutions in the Semyonovsky district have started operating in updated spaces.
May 15, 2026 14:02 Society In the municipal district of Semyonovsky, the Department of Social Protection of the Population and the Comprehensive Center for Social Services have begun operations in updated spaces. Now citizens can receive necessary services in a building that has undergone major renovations, located at: Semyon, Chelyuskina St., 27. The working conditions of specialists and the reception of residents were evaluated by the Minister of Social Development and Family Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Igor Sedykh, and the head of the local government of the Semyonovsky municipal district, Dmitry Poluektov. As reported by the ministry, the building for both institutions was provided by the municipal administration. A total of more than 26.6 million rubles was allocated from the regional budget for the renovation of the spaces. Funds were invested in the repair of more than 1,000 square meters of internal premises, as well as the purchase of new furniture and equipment. Special attention was paid to the placement of branding elements for social institutions. "It is very important that social institutions today are not just functional, but truly cozy, modern, and comfortable for people. Here, it has been possible to create just such a space—bright, open, and thought out to the smallest detail. And this is primarily the merit of the team of institutions, which approached the design and organization of the space with great care. I am confident that in such conditions, people will enjoy not only receiving necessary services but also spending their leisure time," noted Igor Sedykh, Minister of Social Development and Family Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The premises of the institutions are equipped with comfortable waiting areas, a citizen reception area, an assembly hall with media equipment, a training kitchen for young people with disabilities, a gym, a psychologist's office, a computer classroom, as well as spacious and bright administrative offices. In the same building, there is also one of the points for renting essential items for children aged from birth to two years. It opened in 2025 as part of the national project "Family." The operation of such points is one of the support measures of the "demographic menu" of the Ministry of Labor of Russia, provided to the region. "Guests of our updated center note how bright, convenient, and truly comfortable it has become here. For older people, it is especially important to feel care and attention to detail—from an accessible environment to cozy spaces for communication, activities, and leisure. Today, the center is not only a place for receiving social services but also a space for active living, new acquaintances, creativity, and communication. We are confident that the renovation of the institution will be another step in the development of active longevity in the Semyonovsky district," noted Albina Tsebina, director of the Comprehensive Center for Social Services of the Semyonovsky municipal district. Deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region (United Russia faction) Alexey Stepanov also believes that the level of social services provided to the residents of Semyonov will now noticeably improve. "I believe that the relocation of the Department of Social Protection and the Comprehensive Center for Social Services to a majorly renovated modern space is an important step towards improving the quality of services provided to our residents and creating decent conditions for visitors and staff. This responds to the requests we received when forming the people's program of 'United Russia.' I care about the fate of everyone who lives and works in our district, so it is doubly pleasant to see the results of the work done. When a person feels comfortable in a social institution, when they see care and respect, it is easier for them to solve their problems. It is encouraging that the social infrastructure of the region is becoming so convenient and modern," he noted. Let us remind you that active longevity is one of the most important areas of the national project "Family." The program aims to improve the quality of life for the older generation, increase their life activity, extend the period of active longevity, and create conditions for realizing personal potential. The national project "Family" started in the country in 2025 by the order of the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin. It is a successor to the previously active national projects "Demography" and "Culture." The national project includes activities that contribute to the comprehensive development of families: expanding support measures, creating conditions for active longevity for the older generation, and ensuring quality and accessible medical care.
