A Nizhny Novgorod schoolboy won bronze at an international scientific conference in India.
An eleventh grader from Nizhny Novgorod Lyceum No. 87 named after L.I. Novikova, Vladislav Dolgov, won a bronze medal at the 32nd International Conference of Young Scientists in New Delhi. This was reported in his Max channel by the head of Nizhny Novgorod, Yuri Shalabaev. According to the mayor, about 150 school students from 17 countries participated in the conference. They presented their scientific works, which they defended in English. The Nizhny Novgorod student presented a study titled "Asymmetric Dicarboxylates of Triaryl Antimony as Promising Anti-Leishmanial Agents: Synthesis and Structure." It discusses the creation of a drug to combat a dangerous infection—leishmaniasis, which is widespread in Southeast Asian countries. A complex but important topic, and a skillful defense earned Vlad the "bronze." Yuri Shalabaev noted that the award reflects the tremendous effort of the student, his scientific supervisors from N.N. Lobachevsky Nizhny Novgorod State University, and the teachers of the lyceum. Marina Uhabova Photo: Yuri Shalabaev's Max channel
