      On May 14, 2026, at 09:22, Incidents In the Nizhny Novgorod region, the investigation into the criminal case regarding the collapse of the roof of kindergarten No. 3 "Romashka" in Lukoyanov has been completed. The head of the institution is charged with negligence, as reported by the press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the region.

      Recall that on February 7, due to a significant accumulation of snow on the roof, the entire roof of the building collapsed. The incident occurred on a weekend, so no one was injured.

      Investigators believe that the cause of the emergency was the improper performance of duties by the head of the institution. She failed to ensure the timely organization of snow removal from the roof. After the collapse, the children were unable to attend kindergarten, which violated their right to receive preschool education. Additionally, significant expenses were required for the restoration of the building.

      The progress of the investigation was previously reported to the central office of the Investigative Committee of Russia at the request of the head of the agency.

      Currently, sufficient evidence has been gathered. The criminal case with an approved indictment has been sent to court for substantive consideration.
