Five Nizhny Novgorod universities ranked among the best in the country according to RAEX.

      The RAEX agency presented a subject ranking of the best Russian universities. Among the strongest are five universities from Nizhny Novgorod.

      When compiling the ranking, experts considered the quality of training for incoming applicants, the availability of teaching staff at the universities, students' successes in competitions, the volume of training for highly qualified specialists, the number of defended dissertations, and other indicators.

      The study covered a total of 35 fields of study. The final list included 167 universities from 45 regions of Russia.

      NNSU named after Lobachevsky was among the best in several disciplines. The university was noted in fields such as biology, history and archaeology, political science and international relations, psychology, sociology, physics, chemistry, as well as electronics, radio engineering, and communication systems.

      NGTU named after Alexeev was among the strongest in the fields of "Aviation and Rocket Space Technology," "Shipbuilding and Water Transport," "Oil and Gas Engineering," "Ground Transport Engineering and Technology," "Energy," "Energy Machine Engineering and Electrical Engineering," as well as "Nuclear Energy and Technologies."

      Minin University also made it into the ranking. It was included in the list of the best universities in the field of "Pedagogical Education."

      VGUVT was noted in the discipline of "Shipbuilding and Water Transport." And PIMU was among the strongest medical universities in the country in the fields of "Medicine" and "Pharmacy."
