A 65-year-old man from Nizhny Novgorod burned alive in a private house in the Kstovo district.

      May 14, 2026 09:39 Incidents A 65-year-old man died in a fire in the village of Studenets in the Kstovo district. This was reported by the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Nizhny Novgorod region. According to the agency, the fire occurred in a private house on Averyanova Street. When the first fire and rescue units arrived, the building was already engulfed in open flames. The area of the fire was 75 square meters. Five units of equipment and 15 emergency service employees were involved in extinguishing the fire.

      According to preliminary data, the cause of the tragedy was careless handling of fire. It was previously reported that in Vyksa, two children and three adults died in a fire.
