"Dzerzhinsk forged Victory with the hands and sweat of the workers of the rear. Women and teenagers replaced men at the machines. They worked sixteen hours a day in the shops and produced unprecedented results. Every third shell was filled with Dzerzhinsk gunpowder. Every fifth fighter was equipped with Dzerzhinsk plexiglass. A low bow to the veterans for the peace above our heads, for life. Eternal memory to the fallen heroes," said city Duma deputy and chairman of the veterans' council of the SVO in Dzerzhinsk, Alexey Chubin.
