Trade Union: Labor conditions were violated at Kstovo Central District Hospital

      On May 6, 2026, at 16:28 Society, violations were identified at the Kstovo Central District Hospital during the special assessment of working conditions for employees. As reported by the chief editor of the medical publication "Statsionar-Press," Alexey Nikонов, the union found that while working with antitumor drugs, the working conditions class for medical staff was unjustifiably lowered. This concerns substances of the first hazard class. Due to the incorrect assessment, employees lost their entitled benefits—reduced working hours and the provision of milk. "The expert organization simply did not investigate the chemical factor, which is why the medical staff lost their benefits. The union proved that when working with chemotherapy and cytostatics, the working conditions class is established without measurements," explained labor inspector Mikhail Badyin. Additionally, the documentation for the special assessment revealed an incorrectly stated basis for early retirement. It is reported that all identified violations have been rectified. Earlier, it became known that Nizhny Novgorod medical workers would be sent to sanatoriums to treat emotional burnout—this is a joint initiative of the regional health ministry and the healthcare workers' union.
