      On May 6, 2026, at 17:20, there are 97 direct participants of the Great Patriotic War living in the Nizhny Novgorod region. According to data relevant as of May 1, 2026, the regional Ministry of Social Development and Family Policy shared this information with NIA "Nizhny Novgorod."

      Less than a month ago, there were 100 war participants in the region. It was also reported that there are 4,400 WWII veterans living in the Nizhny Novgorod region, most of whom are rear workers.
