The actor announced this at a press conference at TASS dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the All-Russian Industrial and Art Exhibition of 1896, reports NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" correspondent. The artistic director of the Gorky Moscow Art Theater emphasized that he is happy to participate in the project not only as a guest actor but also as a fellow countryman. He noted that he feels a close connection to the Nizhny Novgorod land, from where his ancestors come. A painting depicting the Makaryev Monastery and the Volga hangs in his office.

      "I see how Nizhny Novgorod has transformed after its 800th anniversary. So much has been done, what a fantastic Strelka. That's why I fell in love with my hometown all over again," he said.

      Speaking about his participation in the project, Bezrukov noted that he supported it without hesitation, as he advocates for the revival of traditions.

      "This is a connection to the homeland, to the small homeland, to Russia - threads that cannot be cut. This is what is always with you. So I stand for my homeland," Bezrukov declared.
