Half of Nizhny Novgorod residents will start earning more than 200,000 rubles in seven years.

      May 4, 2026 09:59 Economy The Nizhny Novgorod region ranked 14th in the rating of Russian regions by wage dynamics. The study was prepared by analysts from RIA Novosti. According to statistics, a quarter of the region's population will be able to earn an income exceeding 200,000 rubles per month in five years and two months. After seven years and seven months, half of the employees will be able to boast such a salary, and in ten years and two months, the number of workers with such income may reach 75%. The leaders of the rating were the Yamalo-Nenets and Chukotka Autonomous Okrugs, as well as the Republic of Tatarstan. Half of the population in these regions may achieve a salary of 200,000 rubles in 5.7, 5.8, and 6.2 years, respectively. The last places were taken by the Republics of Dagestan, Chechnya, and Ingushetia with indicators of 15.6, 19.1, and 22.1 years, respectively. It is noted that the assessment of wage dynamics was made by experts based on purchasing power parity while maintaining nominal income growth rates at the average level for the last five years.
