      In connection with the upcoming holidays, the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod Region calls on citizens to strictly adhere to the norms of administrative and criminal legislation of the Russian Federation, as well as safety rules. The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod Region reminds citizens that the legislation provides for responsibility both for non-compliance with the order of organizing and conducting public events and for participation in various actions. In the event of unlawful actions by citizens, police officers have legal grounds to suppress them and hold the guilty parties accountable. Failure to comply with the lawful demands of law enforcement officers entails responsibility as provided by Russian law:

      - For foul language in public places, offensive harassment of citizens, or other actions that demonstratively violate public order and the tranquility of citizens, administrative responsibility is provided in accordance with Article 20.1 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation.

      - For consuming alcoholic and alcoholic-containing products in unauthorized places, administrative responsibility is provided in accordance with Article 20.20 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation.

      - For appearing in public places in a state of intoxication, administrative responsibility is provided in accordance with Article 20.21 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation.

      - For disobedience to a lawful order of a police officer, administrative responsibility is provided in accordance with Article 19.3 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation.

      - For participation in unauthorized gatherings, rallies, demonstrations, marches, or picketing that create obstacles to the functioning of life support facilities, transport or social infrastructure, communication, pedestrian and/or vehicle movement, or access of citizens to residential premises or objects of transport or social infrastructure, administrative responsibility is provided in accordance with Article 20.2 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation.
