Nizhny Novgorod residents are invited to participate in the contest "Mom and Children in National Costumes."

      On May 2, 2026, at 08:43, the Society of Nizhny Novgorod residents invites you to participate in the seventh International Competition "Moms and Children in National Costumes," organized by the Regional Public Organization "International Union of Women" with the informational support of the Federal Nationalities Agency (FADN of Russia).

      The competition is dedicated to the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia, declared in 2026 by the President of the Russian Federation. The goals and objectives of the competition are aimed at preserving and developing ethnocultural diversity, strengthening traditional family values, and demonstrating the unity of peoples through art.

      Three main nominations are presented, designed to highlight the cultural diversity of Russia and friendly countries:

      — Photo contest "Moms and Children in National Costumes" — the main nomination, where the connection of generations and the beauty of national heritage are revealed through the art of photography. Families (moms and children, grandmothers, grandfathers, and other family members) can participate without age restrictions.

      — National lullaby song contest — a nomination where the soul of the people is heard. Vocalists performing songs in their native language can participate.

      — National dance contest — a dynamic nomination dedicated to preserving and popularizing the choreographic heritage of the peoples of the world. Groups or solo performers representing national choreography can participate.

      You can submit an application and familiarize yourself with the conditions for participation in the competition on the website.

      Applications for participation in the competition are accepted until September 25, 2026. There are no age restrictions for participation in the competition.

      The results will be announced on the official website by October 25, 2026. Laureates and winners of the competition will be presented in an online gallery on the official website of the photo contest.
