      April 29, 2026 18:30 Society The court has ordered the sports school in Dzerzhinsk to pay nearly one million rubles after injuries to a mother and child. This was reported by the press service of the regional court. The victim filed a lawsuit against the MBU DO "Olympic Reserve Sports School 'Salyut'" for compensation for material damage and moral harm. On January 5, 2025, during a visit to a paid ice rink, the woman and her minor daughter were injured due to the improper condition of the ice. Both required inpatient treatment and surgical intervention. The plaintiff requested reimbursement for medical expenses, lost earnings, compensation for moral harm, as well as a fine for refusing to voluntarily satisfy the pre-trial claim. The Dzerzhinsk City Court partially granted the claims. In favor of the woman, 41.8 thousand rubles were awarded for material damage, 96.6 thousand rubles for lost earnings, 250 thousand rubles for compensation for moral harm, and 194.2 thousand rubles as a fine. Her daughter was awarded 250 thousand rubles for compensation for moral harm and 125 thousand rubles as a fine. Additionally, the defendant was ordered to pay state duty to the budget of Dzerzhinsk. The decision has not yet entered into legal force.
