      On April 30, 2026, at 09:32, Incidents The Second Western Military Court sentenced 50-year-old Vladimir Morozov*, a resident of the Arzamas district of the Nizhny Novgorod region. He was found guilty of intentionally setting fire to someone else's property and committing a terrorist act. This was reported by the Moscow prosecutor's office.

      It was established that on the night of February 22 to 23, 2025, the man, harboring a long-standing personal animosity towards his former partner and her relatives, prepared flammable liquid in advance and arrived at the woman's house in the Nizhny Novgorod region. There, he sequentially doused and set fire to two cars, as well as property located inside the vehicles.

      Both vehicles and tools stored in one of the cars, which were used for work, were completely destroyed by the fire. The total amount of damage exceeded 1.6 million rubles.

      According to the case materials, Morozov did not stop there. On February 23, 2025, he went to the military enlistment office building in Arzamas with the intention of committing arson to destabilize the activities of government authorities.

      He used pre-prepared bottles with a flammable mixture and other means of ignition. His actions posed a threat to human life and could also result in significant material damage and other serious consequences.

      Taking into account the position of the state prosecutor from the Moscow prosecutor's office, the court sentenced Morozov to 15 years of imprisonment. He will spend the first three years in prison, and the remaining term in a strict regime correctional colony.

      The sentence has not yet entered into legal force.

      It was previously reported that the Nizhny Novgorod resident was arrested for donating to a terrorist community.
