       The Kanavinsky District Court of Nizhny Novgorod has sentenced a local resident in a case of attempted murder. The man has been sentenced to 6 years in a strict regime correctional colony. This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor's Office of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

       The court established that in May 2025, a conflict arose between the defendant and the victim due to personal animosity, which escalated into a fight. After some time, the man approached a parked "EVOLUT I-PRO" car, got behind the wheel, and drove down Soviet Street in Nizhny Novgorod. There, he saw the victim, who was on the roadway of Ivan Romanov Street, after which he formed the intent to take his life. Implementing his plan, the driver directed the car at the victim and hit him with the front right part of the vehicle, after which he fled the scene, believing that the injuries inflicted would lead to the man's death.
