The route of the tunnel boring machines on Gorky Street in Nizhny Novgorod has been published.

      On April 28, 2026, at 10:29 AM, Society Metro builders published a diagram showing how the tunnel boring machines will go under Maxim Gorky Street in Nizhny Novgorod. According to their data, after the "Gorkovskaya" station, the metro shields will diverge to bypass the 1833 block, which is a cultural heritage site. Then the shields will meet again and proceed under Gorky Street, Kulibin Park, past the Young Spectator Theater, and emerge at Freedom Square. It was previously reported that the metro builders are preparing the shield for tunneling to Freedom Square.
