In the Nizhny Novgorod region, the acceptance of applications for agrograants has begun.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Resources of the Nizhny Novgorod Region has begun accepting applications for participation in two grant competitions for enterprises in the agro-industrial complex. State support funds can be directed towards the creation or expansion of businesses. As noted by the Minister of Agriculture and Food Resources of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Nikolai Denisov, grant support is part of the strategy for the development of the agro-industrial complex in the region. The first competition is aimed at supporting small farms, while the second, "Agroprogress," focuses on the development of larger projects. The grant amount for the development of a farm ranges from 3 to 30 million rubles, depending on the volume of own funds. Peasant (farm) households and individual entrepreneurs registered in rural areas or rural agglomerations and owning land plots can apply for it. A citizen planning to establish a peasant farm can also apply for a grant of up to 8 million rubles. The grant is provided once. Funds can be used for the purchase of agricultural land, construction and repair of production facilities and warehouses, connection to engineering networks, as well as for the purchase of equipment. Recipients of the "Agroprogress" grant can be agricultural producers included in the register of small and medium-sized businesses, excluding individual entrepreneurs, peasant farms, and personal subsidiary plots. The grant amount is up to 30 million rubles, but no more than 25% of the project cost. Funds are allocated for the creation, acquisition, and modernization of facilities for the production, storage, processing, and sale of agricultural products, for equipping them with machinery, transport, and equipment, as well as for the purchase of breeding livestock and poultry. The selection criteria and requirements for application documentation can be found on the website of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Resources of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. Documents must be sent to the agricultural management authority at the location of the activity. The application period is open until May 12 inclusive. The Chairman of the Committee of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region for the Agro-Industrial Complex and Rural Development, Igor Tyurin, noted that support for agricultural producers remains a priority for the regional authorities. According to him, the launch of two specialized grant competitions contributes to job creation and modernization of small and medium-sized enterprises and is part of the People's Program of "United Russia."
