To fire or not to fire: fans of "Pari NN" argue over Shpilevsky's dismissal

      April 27, 2026 17:05 Sports Fans of the football club "Pary Nizhny Novgorod" have split into two camps following reports of a possible resignation of head coach Alexey Shpilevsky. Some are calling to keep the coach and give him time to implement his ideas, while others expect personnel changes in the near future.

      Recall that insider Ivan Karpov reported that a decision to dismiss the specialist had allegedly been made. According to the source, the last straw was the home defeat to "Spartak" with a score of 1:2.

      At the same time, the club itself is not commenting on the situation. Shpilevsky stated in a conversation with "Match TV" that he had not had any communication with the management regarding this matter.

      It is precisely the news of possible personnel changes and turbulence throughout the season that has sparked heated discussions on the team's social media. Some fans of the club are convinced that firing the coach three rounds before the end of the season seems hasty and is unlikely to change the tournament situation.

      "It would be a big mistake to fire Shpilevsky now, or at the end of the championship in case of relegation to the FNL. Under Alexey, the Nizhny Novgorod club shows better gameplay than under all his predecessors. The prospects for our young team with an ideological coach are quite good. A team is not built in a season or off-season," wrote Oleg L.

      Some fans even urge the management to reconsider the possible decision.

      "Comrades fans, let's organizedly write a petition to the club management in support of Alexey Nikolaevich Shpilevsky. He should have been kept for another season, otherwise it's a new coach every year," believes Maxim K.

      "What's the point of firing a coach three rounds before the end who has been preparing the team all season?" questions Daniil G.

      At the same time, many fans support the possible resignation, believing that under the current coach, the team has not demonstrated significant progress and has not met expectations.

      "Shpilevsky not only hasn't won a single match against a top club, but he hasn't even beaten a club from the top ten! He really changed the DNA. He said before the season that everyone would forget that this team always fights for survival," notes Dmitry D.

      "17 out of 27 games - losses, where is there to look? Every match is a pompous speech about nothing," writes Vladimir K.

      "First of all, fire the sports director and all the management! And Shpilevsky as a bonus," adds Elizaveta S.

      After 27 rounds, FC "Pary Nizhny Novgorod" has scored 22 points and is in 15th place in the table, risking relegation from the RPL.

      Earlier, it was reported that former general director of "Pary Nizhny Novgorod" David Melik-Guseynov urged fans of "Pary Nizhny Novgorod" to support the team.
