The new office of the State Legal Bureau has started operating in Chkalovsk.

      On April 25, 2026, at 14:28 Society A new office of the State Legal Bureau of the Nizhny Novgorod Region has opened in Chkalovsk. Now residents of the district can receive free qualified legal assistance on-site — without traveling to the regional center.

      The reception is conducted by state lawyers with the necessary authority and practical experience.

      "The opening of an additional office in Chkalovsk is a real mechanism for enhancing the legal protection of socially vulnerable categories of citizens. The state lawyers of the new office provide free oral and written consultations on family, labor, housing, pension, and social issues, help draft claims, complaints, and petitions, as well as represent citizens' interests in courts and government agencies," noted the director of the State Legal Bureau, Maxim Fomichev.

      According to him, the launch of the office aligns with the federal course on decentralizing the system of free legal assistance. According to the Ministry of Justice of Russia, in 2025, the number of appeals to regional State Legal Bureaus increased by 26.4%, with the main growth occurring in small towns.

      Low-income citizens, disabled individuals of groups I and II, unemployed pensioners, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, disabled children and orphans left without parental care, combat veterans, participants of the Special Military Operation, and their family members, as well as other categories, have the right to free legal assistance in accordance with federal and regional legislation.
