When entering information about the offense into the traffic police database, it was discovered that the provided driver's license for operating vehicles was issued in the name of another person. The suspicious license was confiscated and sent for examination. Forensic experts determined that the document for operating the vehicle was made in a makeshift manner. During interrogation, the woman admitted that she had not undergone training at a driving school and had purchased the driver's license and training certificate in Moscow from a stranger for 80,000 rubles. The investigative department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the city of Shakhunya has initiated a criminal case against the offender on the grounds of a crime provided for by part 3 of Article 327 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (forgery, manufacture, or circulation of counterfeit documents, state awards, stamps, seals, or forms). The investigation is ongoing. For committing such a crime, the woman may face a penalty of imprisonment for up to 1 year. The police remind that the acquisition, storage, transportation for the purpose of use or sale, or use of counterfeit driver's licenses is a criminally punishable act, for which criminal liability is provided.
