The National Research University Higher School of Economics is hosting an educational intensive on the concept of the "School of Young Internationalists."

      April 23, 2026 14:28 Society At the Nizhny Novgorod Institute of Management of the Presidential Academy, a spring school titled "Voice of the Leader: The Region as a Subject of International Influence" is taking place. The project continues the concept of the "School of Young Internationalists" of the Institute of State Service and Management (IGSU) of the Presidential Academy, whose honorary chairman is the Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Konstantin Kosachev. The focus of the training is on regional development within the system of global economic relations, clustering international initiatives, and promoting territories. The project's goal is to prepare a reserve of leaders in public administration with competencies in strategic communications, international relations, and regional promotion. This is a key factor in strengthening Russia's position in the world through the development of regional potential.

      According to the director of the Nizhny Novgorod Institute of Management of the Presidential Academy, Ekaterina Lebedeva, this type of training is being conducted for the first time. Its aim is to enhance the training of personnel for the international direction. "International relations between states in a global context are formed not only through interactions at the capital level; they are largely determined at the regional level. These contacts involve not only politicians but also the business community, cultural and social organizations, and students. Being able to represent our country with dignity is our task as future managers and people who care about the fate of our Motherland," said Ekaterina Lebedeva, director of the Nizhny Novgorod Institute of Management of the Presidential Academy.

      As noted by the Minister of International and Interregional Relations of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Olga Guseva, the region is actively asserting itself on the world stage, becoming an important center for international dialogue. "We need professionals who can not only represent the region but also become its true ambassadors. The "Voice of the Leader" school is a platform where young specialists learn to transform their potential into real international influence," said Olga Guseva, Minister of International and Interregional Relations of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. During the training at the spring school, students will familiarize themselves with the concept of "diplomacy of regions," learn to analyze the mechanisms of political agenda formation by leading powers, transform local news into a tool for global influence, and much more.
